dr craiger dvm 200pxDr. Yvonne Craiger, or “Dr. Y”, our Chief of Staff, graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and has been practicing small animal medicine since then. As a General Practitioner, she sees a variety of cases with a higher number of them seeming to be skin cases, ear cases, and senior pet care. 

Dr. Craiger seeks to provide care to help pets live a longer, healthier life with their owners. Her special interests include dentistry and integrating natural therapy options when possible. She especially enjoys helping pets get stinky ears cleaned up.

Dr. Helen Szostak joined the Willowood Acres Veterinary Clinic team in 2000. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Natural Science from Madonna College in 1974 and earned her DVM degree from Michigan State University in 1993. She is a breeder of Flat-coated Retrievers and was recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) as the Sporting Group Breeder of the Year in 1993.

Dr. Szostak is a life member of the Flat-coated Retriever Society of America and participates with her Flat-coated Retrievers in dog shows, obedience trials, hunting tests, and rally trials. She is a member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association, and she attends conferences annually with both organizations.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Szostak is particularly interested in gardening and competitive dog activities. She occasionally breeds a litter of Flat-coated Retrievers.

Dr. Kaitlin Chou, DVM, with a feline friendDr. Chou grew up in New Jersey and currently resides in the Ann Arbor area. She earned both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from Cornell University in New York. Dr. Chou joined the Willowood Acres Veterinary Clinic team in June 2017. Her special interests include feline medicine, dentistry, and surgery.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Chou enjoys hiking, video games, and spending time with her cat and bird.
